Junior QA Engineer
Responsibilities
- Implement test automation using appropriate tools
- Review and validate requirements and technical specifications
- Develop and execute test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer conversations
- Perform manual testing, emphasizing out-of-the-box thinking
- Document results, offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
- Collaborate closely with the development team to perform release testing and take ownership
- Manage testing efforts across 1-2 projects under tight deadlines
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities
Essential Skills
- At least 1+ years of quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments
- Experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills
- Experience with web-based application testing
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer
- Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Knowledge of Software QA methodologies, processes, and standards
- Experience with manual and automated testing
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
