Key purpose of the Job

The Manager – Engineering leads the Engineering function for the plant and is responsible for overseeing machine maintenance and facility engineering initiatives for the plant. This includes overseeing implementation of machine/facility maintenance activities, ensuring machine and spares availability, forecasting and adherence to plant engineering budgets, execution of improvement projects (e.g.: SMV reduction, cost savings, etc.) and plant facility projects. The role holder will also drive sustainability and automation initiatives for the plant, as directed by the Centre/Group.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deploy Plant Engineering requirements including objectives, budgets, improvement projects, etc.
2. Oversee effective implementation of machine maintenance activities
3. Oversee implementation of facility maintenance and improvement projects
4. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders for achievement of functional objectives
5. Manage the Plant Engineering team

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Around 6 to 8 plus years’ experience in plant engineering function At least 3 to 4 years’ experience of leading the plant engineering team for machine maintenance & facility maintenance
Ability to drive vision and change, and drive results.
Ability to excite and engage customers as well as inspire employees
