Key purpose of the Job

As Merchandiser – Product Development within the Design department, you will be responsible for the timely  execution of the sample development process (sampling/raw material ordering, planning, testing and trialing) for design/launch styles.  You will also support the company’s future plans and help drive the Brandix values and culture across to all its employees.
The ideal candidate will have a real passion for product development and problem solving, having a genuine interest in understanding the market, consumer and product needs.  You ae driven to find solutions,  hands on and enjoy  contributing to idea generation and being  fully engaged in the process of Product creation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan development of the garment sample based on tech pack / designer specifications, RM ordering, timelines, test & trialing etc.
2. Coordinate with the internal teams and suppliers for sample development and RM ordering as per customer requirements
3. Working through initial costings, and cost options to ensure styles met required costs.
4. Collaborate with internal teams and customers for sampling/RM approvals, including documentation and handover requirements to the Marketing Teams
