Key purpose of the Job

The Merchandiser – Product Development is responsible for execution of the sample development process (costing/sampling) for the assigned styles. This includes timely submission of costing, samples and T&A plans to maximize profitability in close coordination with cross-functional internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for developing full costings as per customer/category.
  2. Plan development of the garment sample based on tech pack specifications, RM ordering, timelines, etc.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers for costing/sample development and RM ordering as per customer requirements.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams and customers for costing/sampling/RM approvals, including documentation and handover requirements to the Bulk team.
  5. Adhere to process implementations as per business requirements

Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Designing/Clothing Technology or any other relevant stream

Experience

1 – 2+ years experience in Merchandising
Ability to drive vision and change, be process oriented and drive results.
Ability to excite and engage customers as well as inspire employees.
Ability to communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and a structured and disciplined work approach.
