The Role: Operations Manager

Oceans is seeking ambitious candidates in Sri Lanka to become Operations Managers. Oceans Ops Managers are responsible for increasing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of their assigned organization: ensuring all ops are appropriate & cost-effective; improving systems, processes, & best practices; formulating strategic & operational objectives and setting KPIs; assisting with legal compliance & budgets; overseeing timelines and tracking projects from beginning to end; assisting with training & supervising staff; completing cross-department quality audits & suggesting improvements; and preparing action plans to uplevel all areas of the business.

Responsibilities

Operational:

• Project Management: Timeline Tracking, Visualization, Updates
• Drafting & Correspondence: Scheduling, Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures
• Inbox Management: Gatekeeping, Drafting Replies
• Information Management: To-Dos, Reminders, Followups
• Organize, File, and Maintain Digital Storage Platforms
• Event Planning & Coordination: Invitation Design, RSVP Tracking, Oversight
• Contribute to Policy, Planning, Strategy Decisions
• SOPs: Develop and Implement Standard Operating Procedures & Implement Improvement
• Finance: Budgeting, Reporting, Planning, and Auditing
• Foster Company Culture & Manage Morale
• HR: Assist with Employee Recruitment & Onboarding
• Drafting & Correspondence: Scheduling, Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures
• Partnerships: Build Alliances with Outside Organizations

Requirements

• Language: Professional fluency in English, with excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
• Experience: 3+ years working in a communication-heavy position at a reputable firm
• Education: Undergraduate degree preferred; related work experience accepted
• Bonus: MBA, CFA, CIPM, CIMA, or other professional certifications strongly favored, but not required
