PERSEUS – PhD Candidate in AI for Databases
Duties of the position
The main supervisor will be Professor Kjetil Nørvåg, and the candidate is also expected to work together with other researchers in his group and industrial partners of NorwAI. Other duties:
- undertaking the necessary courses (30 ECTS) as part of the PhD programme;
- submitting an application for admission and a research plan no later than 3 months after the employment;
- conducting high quality research and report progress on a regular basis and in agreement with the supervisors.
Preferred selection criteria
- Good understanding of database systems internals.
- Good understanding of Big Data systems.

The applicant should:
- enjoy working in a team-based environment, but also be able to conduct independent activities and thinking.
- have a problem-solving attitude.
- be highly motivated to publish in top academic conferences and journals within the area of the position.
