Job Overview

Postdoctoral Scholar Bioengineering – Clark Lab

Clark laboratory: Transcriptomics and Neurogenetics

The Clark Lab in the Department of Bioengineering at UC Berkeley is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to map cellular connections in the mouse brain at massive scale. Recently, we developed an approach that combines virus tracing, molecular barcoding, and single cell sequencing to study both the connections and transcriptional profiles of cellular networks (RABID-seq). We seek a talented postdoctoral researcher to further develop and apply barcoded rabies tracing to new experimental systems and animal models of disease. The position will have support from a research technician.

The Clark lab is focused on developing and applying molecular and microfluidic methods to study CNS inflammation and HIV infection. We are located in Stanley Hall, home of the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3) at Berkeley, which brings together physical scientists, engineers, and biologists into a collaborative research environment with shared resources and core research support facilities.

The successful candidate will spearhead the development of new methods for single cell connectomics.

University of California Postdoctoral Scholars are exclusively represented by the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW).
