Job Description

The Quality & Support team in R&D provides critical services to the R&D organization to ensure the best possible processes are followed, securing quality for all IFS customers. This includes having the right infrastructure, processes, and technologies in place, and making sure results are measured, monitored, and delivered.

The Quality & Support Team is looking for innovative process managers with a test automation and quality assurance focus who want to be part of a team of creative and talented individuals.  Our team is a mix of software engineers, process managers, and DevOps engineers, all working together to deliver our vision.

Responsibilities

A process manager in Quality & Support is responsible for evaluating the efficiency and maturity of our processes in the quality and support area, developing improvement strategies, and facilitating change.

To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of modern best quality practices and have the technical expertise of what is required to improve key processes in the quality area with a specific emphasis on automation. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Be a driver of continuous improvement in areas such as automation, continuous integration, and processes using industry best practices
  • Continuously expand & improve the QA processes and technical knowledge. Provide direction by mentoring & coaching other members of the R&D organization.
  • Be a recognized change agent for widespread adoption of Agile and DevOps practices & mindset.
  • Be able to lead, take initiative and have a high sense of responsibility
  • Having the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Technical and process related expertise to support teams in:
    • Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
    • Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
    • Applying testing processes/strategies for new and existing features
    • Estimating, planning, prioritizing, and performing testing activities
    • Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts
    • Implementing tests within pipelines
    • Performing Root Cause Analysis with the purpose of increasing test coverage in critical areas
  • Create documentation, presentation, and training material.
  • Engage with requirement owners & relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • 3+ years’ industry experience in quality assurance and test automation
  • 2+ years’ experience as a process manager
  • Experience in driving test automation in agile software development (e.g. test design, test scripting, test data creation)
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies
  • Technical experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and agile aspects of software engineering
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g. Xray)
  • Experience in performance testing (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • Knowledge in source code management Tools (e.g. Git/Bitbucket)
  • Proven experience working with enterprise-scale applications
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
