Job Description

Internationalization of our solutions is, therefore, a critical aspect of enabling our customers to reach their desired outcomes. We are looking for a I18N specialist to join our vibrant product management team to assume a critical role in our Internationalization evolution.
As a Product specialist in Localization, you will support the whole engineering team with developing and delivering a best-in-class localization infrastructure, in-house and 3rd party tooling, and supporting processes. Together with a team encompassing platform, development, engineering, quality, and enablement, you will embark on a mission to embed best-in-class localization into the product development process
An Internationalization specialist (i18n), the successful candidate will ensure that our solutions provide support for various countries, various languages, and locale specific formats automatically without performing any changes in the application code itself, using modern programming languages to offer i18n libraries/classes to enable i18n capabilities during the coding process.
Qualifications
What You’ll Do Here
- Ownership of IFS’s international expansion product strategy and roadmap for Internationalization.
- Actively support the implementation of upgraded processes and software for Translation Processes across the Software Product Suite.
- Partner with Product, Design and Engineering functional leaders to ensure our international product goals are met.
- Develop and drive best practices around internalization and localization efforts. Including auditing new products / solutions and educating wider teams.
- Identify, evaluate, and partner with local businesses to position IFS for the maximum success in local markets.
- Deciding what to build: Work closely with application teams, customers, sales, services, customer success, engineering, and other cross-functional groups to prioritize new features and functionality based on business objectives and engineering estimates.
- Adding details that are crystal-clear: Develop user stories, acceptance criteria and initial wireframes. Partner with engineering in building technical requirements. Partner with design in making sure mock-ups are ready.
- Saying No: IFS is in a large market with multiple prospects and customers asking for many things. You’ll have to make tough calls in prioritizing and communicating why.
- Executing on roadmap: Collaborate daily with engineering team in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum development process to deliver new features and functionality.
- Ensuring smooth release: Coordinate product releases among the engineering, marketing, customer success and sales teams.
- Managing product alliances: Select and maintain relationships with technical vendors, such as email service providers.
Additional Information
What We Are Looking For
- Entrepreneurial mind set with experience building and taking our product to new markets.
- 5+ years of product management for a product company, ideally Enterprise SaaS solutions.
- 5+ years experience of internationalization processes and procedures in software.
- Prior experience in launching and localizing Enterprise SaaS products in international markets.
- Bachelors in computer science or equivalent technical degree. MBAs welcome but not required.
- Strong technical abilities. You are intimately familiar with modern/agile software development practices used to build and deploy web and mobile applications.
- Strong analytical capabilities. You excel at and enjoy building models and decomposing complex structures into useful primitives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and projects.
- Strong customer and stakeholder empathy. You must be not only the voice of the customer, but at various times the voice of marketing, sales, engineering, support, customer success, and operations. You must be able to channel many points of view.
