Research Assistant / Associate (LCPC/EF/RL)
Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant / Associate to assist the Principal Investigator, Professor Eric Finkelstein, in managing and executing a number of community or clinic-based randomised controlled trials (RCTs). The successful candidate will perform a variety of functions including but not limited to:
- Lead and conduct research projects (e.g. carry out literature reviews, manage research budget and inventories, recruit participants, collect research data and perform data cleaning).
- Liaise with co-investigators, collaborators, participants and other stakeholders.
- Draft and submit documents for ethics approval by Institutional Review Boards.
- Ensure accurate documentation and management of research data and records.
- Write grant applications, study protocols, and academic manuscripts.
- Supervise junior research staff, casual workers, and interns.
- Perform other related or duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, economics, public health or related disciplines.
- Possess firm understanding of research concepts, principles and challenges.
- Prior project management and research assistant experience is highly desirable.
- Organised and able to manage projects involving complex logistical issues.
- A strong team player who is able to work independently and take initiatives.
- Adaptable and effective problem-solver with excellent communications and writing skills.
- Proficient with software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
