Research Assistant in Family Medicine and Primary Care under Asst Prof Lee Eng Sing

 

A Research Assistant is required for a clustered randomised controlled trial that aims to evaluate the effectiveness of reducing risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) through several interventions.

 

The outcome of this project will inform the advancement of precision medicine for CVD in Asian populations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and with study team when required
  • Ensure all work processes meet the ethical standards of the University, Singapore Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements
  • Assist in communications with institutional review board staff regarding ethics applications, amendments, and reports
  • Assist in qualitative data collection and cleaning (i.e. interviews)
  • Data entry and validation, reporting of adverse events, maintenance of investigator files and other essential documentation
  • Work with the study team in data analysis
  • Travel to multiple GP clinics (study sites) to recruit participants and clinicians in the community
  • Establish and maintain close communication with all stakeholders and study team
  • Ensure reports and publications are completed punctually
  • Contribute to disseminating study result dissemination
  • Support in other functions (e.g. general administration)

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelors (Research Assistant), or equivalent in a related discipline (e.g. Psychology, Nursing, etc.)
  • Experience in conducting randomised controlled trials and interviews
  • Experience in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods.
  • Competent in utilising data analytical software (e.g. NVivo, SPSS, Stata)
  • Experience with preparing academic reports, publications, and presentations
