Research Associate (Electrical Engineering)

A Research Associate position is available in the Centre for System Intelligence & Efficiency, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

The Research Associate will work on a project to conduct research on development of wireless power transfer systems used in marine applications. The roles of this position include:

• Developing SiC resonant converters, magnetic couplers, and cooling systems, etc

• Applying multi-domain modeling and optimization to improve system energy efficiency and power density

• WPT system integration, test, debug, and optimization

• Contributing to conference/journal publications, project reports and research proposals

• Assisting PI in mentoring undergrad/postgrad students

• Working with PI and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes

Job Requirements:

• BEng and/or MSc in electrical engineering

• 5 years of research experience in related areas

• Expertise in high frequency high power density power converter design analysis and optimization

• Experiences in wireless power transfer related research projects

• Excellent publication track record in top-tier journals

• Proficiency in necessary software tools, e.g., Altium Designer, Ansys, PSPICE, Matlab, PLECS, etc.

• Proficiency in DSP and FPGA programming

• Proficiency in English
