The  Energy Research Institute@ NTU  (ERIAN) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

The Research Fellow will work on a project to conduct research on development of SiC smart grid physical systems and high-performance grid-support functions integrated energy router.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Developing the SiC gate driver, SiC dc-ac inverter, and SiC dc-dc converter.
  • Debug, test, and demonstration of the SiC smart grid test bed
  • Contributing to patent/technological disclosure applications, conference/journal publications, project reports and research proposals.
  • Assisting PI in mentoring research students.
  • Working with PI and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.

Job Requirements: 

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or those expecting PhD soon
  • 5 years of research experience in related areas
  • Expertise in high frequency and high power density power converter design
  • Experiences in wide bandgap semiconductor power conversion
  • Excellent publication track record in top-tier journals
  • Proficiency in necessary software tools, e.g., Altium Designer, Ansys, PSPICE, Matlab, PLECS, etc.
  • Proficiency in DSP and FPGA programming
  • Proficiency in English
