Research Fellow (Optoelectronics)

A Research Fellow position is available in the Centre for Optical Fibre Technology, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

The Research Fellow will work on a project to conduct the research on development of optoelectronic fibers for sensing. The roles of this position include:

• Develop fabrication process based on thermal drawing to achieve fiber-based optoelectronic devices.

• Develop material synthesis and characterization system for fabrication and testing new materials for fiber-based optoelectronic devices.

• Manage application-orientated projects on fiber-based optoelectronics.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in the areas of Optics, Electronics, Materials Engineering, or other related fields

• Hands-on experience in fabrication of fiber devices

• Hands-on experience in optical resonators

• Research experience in building up optical measurement setup

• Demonstrated capability in scientific writing and presenting skills

• Publication record in top journals is mandatory

• Proficiency in English
