Sales Assistant

Plants & Plants Group is a leading horticulture company in Sri Lanka operating in several business sectors including garden centres, landscaping projects and nurseries. We supply a wide range of plants and related materials to retail customers, landscapers, construction companies, and wholesalers. We are looking for energetic and courteous Sales Associates to join our sales teams at Colombo 05 and Colombo 07 Boutique Garden Stores.

Responsibilities:

Deliver attentive, professional, and superior customer service.
Clearly explain/give advice about plant care instructions and limitations to customers.
Carefully plan and manage the stock of merchandise at the store to maximize the limited space available.
Follow up on all customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
Coordinate with the Garden Centre team to ensure orders are delivered and stock levels are maintained.
Maintain all plants and store displays to a high standard.

Requirements:

At least 1 to 2-years of sales work experience in a similar environment.
Excellent focus on customers and customer service.
A genuine interest in plants is a must. No previous experience related to plants is needed, as all plant-related training will be provided.
Good communication skills with a high level of proficiency in English and Sinhalese.
Energetic, pleasant, and polite personality with a can-do attitude.
A good team player with effective communication skills.
The ideal candidate must be within easy commuting distance.
Experience with POS systems will be an advantage.
High level of personal integrity and honesty.

Working hours are 8 am to 8 pm, 6 days a week, inclusive of Saturday and Sunday.
