Role purpose

As part of the Operations division, the Senior Accountant with provide financial management support and accounting operations for the Sri Lankan operation.

Key accountabilities

• Tax Compliance
• Review and implementation of new accounting standards as needed
• Ensuring compliance in accordance with relevant accounting standards
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing of General Journals
• Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Assisting with preparation of monthly/annual budgets
• Work collaborative with Group Accountant, external accountants and bookkeeper
• Liaising with principle racing and sports authorities and government authorities as needed
• Other accounting and finance related tasks as required

Key selection criteria

Knowledge and skills

• Prior experience as Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant
• High-level technical expertise in relevant Accounting Standards
• Experience in preparing statutory quarterly, half-year and full-year reporting
• Tax Compliance
• Accounting for equity transactions
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business and a relevant professional qualification
