Senior Assistant Manager, Undergraduate
The Senior Assistant Manager, Undergraduate in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) will be responsible for managing all aspects of administrative and operational work pertaining to Undergraduate programmes at the school.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Admissions
- Manage the outreach and orientation activities in collaboration with Communication and Events Team at the College and School level.
- Support the selection, interview, and admissions process during the annual applications window for undergraduate admissions.
- Prepare and analyze admissions data to generate insights for the school’s admissions strategy.
2. Programme Administration
- Oversee operations relating to timetabling, course registration, course administration and delivery, courses with overseas components, examination scheduling, administration, and processing.
- Ensure student records for example registered courses, course reclassification, leave of absence, withdrawal from university, data on enrolment and exchange, are updated and maintained.
- Provide advice to students on exchange matters including course matching, credit transfer, briefing sessions, courses add/drop and appeals.
Academic Matters
- Administer teaching assignments for courses offered in the semester.
- Submit proposals on undergraduate curriculum matters and follow through on the approval and implementation details.
Team management / supervisory responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the UG team and coach staff on proper procedures and guidelines.
- Advise staff in identifying training needs to improve their operational performance.
Key Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the higher education environment. Supervisory experience is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail
- Tactful in dealing with different parties and stakeholders.
- Customer-centric and with a passion in working with students
- Strong data management and analysis skills.
