The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, documenting, baseline and configuring requirements for K-12 assessment testing deliverables; test administration, packaging and distribution, scanning, sco ring and reporting. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Liaison between project management teams and development analyzing requests and requirements submitted for development.  

  • Track, compile and report on key indicators for any requests submitted after the development release deadline.  
  • Participate in charters enhancing documentation processes to increase consistency and decrease rework and defects.  
  • Organize and facilitate gathering sessions of business requirements via in-person and web conferencing  
  • Document requirements for assessment administration user interface, assessment scoring, scanning, and data file layouts.  
  • Provide input of technical processes during implementation of new technical tools.  
  • Act as a lead member of any requirement change and process enhancements.  
  • Configure core and custom requirements within the test administration interface.  
  • Balance workload of assigned Jira epics to meet due dates.

  • Ensuring understanding and adoption of the requirement processes and configuration options/limitations across the organization  
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge on various business units in order to consult internal and external customer solutions. 

Qualifications 

  • People management experience in the areas of leadership, mentoring, professional development, performance management, and team/relationship building with employees at all levels highly desired  

  • Proven ability to influence change.  
  • Ability to work effectively across teams.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication.  
  • Work effectively in a very fast paced changing environment.  
  • Innovative.  
  • Strong analytical skills, with a track record of developing actionable recommendations.  
  • The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure with tight timelines. 

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $80k – $85k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
