Description

Strategic Inputs:
1. Support the development of Billing systems
2. Support identification of key changes to Billing systems in the future from technological, commercial, business and consumer behaviour perspectives and determine how these could impact Billing & plans and strategies
3.Support proof of concept deliverables to help determine viability of target Billing architecture for the next 3-5 years
Planning & Delivery:
1.Support the development of the 3-year and 1-year plans for all Billing taking into account growth of customer numbers and demand.
2.Obtain requirements from business and analyse them
3.Ensure planned Billing systems are delivered on time to meet operational requirements
4.Design Billing such that they meet business requirements and align to the plan above
5.Support development of policies on the deployment of Billing equipment
6.Develop detailed Billing design ensuring impact on existing systems and processes is managed
7.Implement systems such that compliance of all Billing with all regulatory, commercial and business requirements (e.g., Security systems) is ensured
8.Create system documentation (design, implementation, test script, test logs and production support) that is sufficiently detailed and up to date to ensure business continuity and prevent over-reliance on a few individuals
9.Request funding and issue request for proposal (RFP) to vendor
10.Verify bill of material (based on RFP in design phase) and confirm order of equipment and services
11.Specify testing requirements and ensure testing
12.Perform final verification of the desired configuration prior to integration to align expected and actual configuration
13.Support deployment of deliverables into production environment
14.Perform final verification of integration
15.Perform project close-out
16.Transfer knowledge (including support document ) to operations team minimizing escalations to development team
17.Support in monitoring performance of deliverables, investigate performance and functionality issues, and ensure future designs are optimised to prevent issues found
Communication and Co-ordination:
1.Provide full support in coordination between Billing systems and the plans from IT Delivery IT Operations and IT Enterprise Architecture
2.Liaise with marketing when needed regarding product development with respect to Billing systems
3.Build the understanding of existing and emerging Billing systems technologies and capabilities across the business
4.Provide MTN Group with subject matter expertise related to Billing
Financial Management:
1.Support identification of key investment requirements for Billing systems
2.Support definition of 1-year budget
3.Identify and eliminate non-contributory expenditures
4.Configuration and Design: For Billing System Domain
