Senior DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a wealth of experience in DevOps and coding to join our growing team.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for enhancing and supporting our platform. The primary purpose is to create the paved road to allow our domain-oriented teams to develop, deploy, and support clients’ operational services. These include but are not limited to Azure Kubernetes service, GitHub action pipelines, and writing fitness functions. Day to day you will work alongside our Architects and the domain teams, creating a platform enabling our product-focused domain teams to build, ship, and support their services.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Writing and implementing efficient code.
• Managing Infrastructure as code.
• Identifying areas of improvement in existing platforms and subsequently developing these modifications.
• Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems.
• Working closely with other developers and systems analysts.
• On-call support for platform needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer.
• Commercial experience in an Agile environment with programming and infrastructure background, but more importantly a strong desire to learn and develop skills in both areas.
• Programming or scripting experience in one or more languages such as (Bash/Golang/Python/.NET).
• Experience in Docker, and Docker orchestration systems (K8S/DC/OS).
• Experience in cloud technologies such as Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Ability to work your way around IP tables, DNS routines, and basic networking.
• Should be curious and passionate about your work and enjoy learning new things.
• Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data.
• Having strong communication skills is a must.
