To build, maintain and implement effective Employee Relations Tools across the plant by critically analyzing trends/ statistics and introducing new initiatives to establish positive relationships with employees and reduce labor turnover and absenteeism thereby, ensuring organizational requirements are duly met


  • Coordinate with Production teams and ensure that absenteeism and employee turnover is essentially controlled by developing tools/ methods to minimize/ maintain same by performing the following activities:
  • Monitor absenteeism/ LTO on a daily/ weekly basis and compile relevant reports to support same, whilst circulating it to the relevant persons in order to support the decision-making process
  • Analyze absenteeism and LTO trends/ statistics by referring to daily/ weekly data in order to predict/ project future calamities thereby, taking necessary action to mitigate same
  • Analyze and monitor module wise carder requirements against the budgeted requirement whilst, taking necessary action to fulfill same in an effective and timely manner thereby, facilitating a smooth operations process
  • Handle all disciplinary and grievance matters in consultation with the HR Manager, including industrial relations whilst, ensuring the organizations rules and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented in order to foster a culture which is in line with objective
  • Maintain a good relationship with workers (Employee Relation) and inquire any grievances whilst, motivating all employees in all departments to increase productivity and lead the employee engagement pillar of human system alignment. [This includes: Organizing functions to motivate employees whilst, creating a pleasant work environment]
  • Coordinate activities relating to policies and projects on Community Development and Go Beyond initiatives etc in order to and to ensure that compliancy requirements are met and release all reports on time to the divisional teams


Coordinate all ERB related activities, follow-up effectively on minutes and points discussed thus, ensuring that the forum is utilized effectively to strengthen and balance work relationships whilst, overlooking the following areas:

  • Handling the formation of the forum, organizing meetings which also includes handling adhoc meetings as and when the need arises
  • Ensure to appoint the office bearers by liaising with the Labour Department
  • Take down minutes, circulate same and maintain records
  • Engage in special events or projects initiated by ERB forum
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards in areas such as MOS, SOPs, compliance standards, health and safety and 5S in all day today activities whilst assisting in relevant projects
  • Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management
  • “Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group/company polices & procedures*, best practices (where the group/company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework”


  • Degree/ Diploma in counseling/ Psychology
  • Qualifications in Human Resources – Advantageous
  • 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of counseling methods and techniques
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills
  • IT Literacy
