This role will support senior management with all financial aspects of LSEG’s Property & Facilities division and global real estate portfolio (£200M+ cost base and 120+ locations). The successful candidate will combine excellent commercial, communication and technical skills to provide decision support, drive change and help the organization deliver savings and optimize its property portfolio in a fast changing and evolving business environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Global Property Finance Lead, the role will include but not limited to the following:

• Provide commercial insight, analysis and decision support to senior management
• Consolidating, analyzing and providing information to management through monthly global / regional reporting packs and ad-hoc reporting decks
• Conducting robust month end review process across the cost base
• Providing business partnering support and drive strong relationships across the business including Central Finance, PMO and Integration teams
• Responsible for financial analysis, modelling, validating and tracking cost synergy initiatives and outcomes
• Supporting with Business Casing and financial modelling for Property initiatives
• Support end to end monthly business reviews (MBRs) and budgeting process covering entire P&L, working with senior management
• Lead on MBR/Budgeting process for Property cost base.
• Lead on Property KPI / Metrics project work with objective to roll out robust set of KPIs / Metrics for internal and external audience
• Supporting any other Property finance projects
• Finance point of contact for Property operations team and global outsourced vendors (JLL / CBRE)
• Work with Controllership to review monthly Balance Sheets, ensure proper lease accounting, and calculation of rent impairments, onerous leases and fixed asset write offs
• Manage capital projects (20+) to ensure budget compliance, governance, etc.
• Deputize for Finance Director where appropriate
• Co-ordination of regional and offshore teams
• Evaluate current finance activities within direct property finance team and wider team to understand what capabilities can be further transferred offshore

• Highly numerate with advanced excel / financial modelling and excellent analytical skills
• Strong data management and excel skills – applied use of Excel to advanced level (pivots, reporting, queries etc.)

 

 

Experience Required

• Qualified chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with over 7 – 10 years post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business partnering activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, strategy evaluation, analysis and insight)
• Real Estate / Property Lease Accounting experience – preferred, not essential
• Excellent use of MS Office packages, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• Experience in Using Oracle and Hyperion financial systems
• Be a lead proponent in driving a collaborative culture across the division
• Adaptable to working in a fast-changing environment
• Strong process orientation with the ability to design robust reporting frameworks
• Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues globally
• Fluency in written and spoken English including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
