Base Salary from $135,793 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Menzies Centre for Health Policy and Economics are seeking a Senior Research Fellow to contribute to a program of work focusing on quantitative policy analysis, health financing and health economics. In addition to this, they will:
take a lead on developing grants and tender applications (Category 1, 2 and 3 funding),
liaise with project, health service and government partners and contribute their quantitative expertise for data collection, analysis and reporting.
be involved in teaching within the postgraduate programmes offered (including Masters programmes in Health Policy and Public Health).
have opportunities to pursue their own research interests whilst working alongside health policy researchers and health economists within diverse research interests and expertise.
About you
PhD in health financing and/or health economics or other relevant fields
demonstrated experience working and liaising with government and policy partners
demonstrated expertise and experience in undertaking health services research and evaluation
demonstrated track record of obtaining and delivering upon grant or contract research funding, including reports and peer reviewed publications in health financing, health economics, or quantitative policy analysis
background in contributing to a multidisciplinary research team in a health policy / health economics / health services research related topic
demonstrated experience in teaching health financing or related subjects at a postgraduate level.
