As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be an essential contributor to Pagero’s global expansion, connecting businesses across borders through our cutting-edge cloud-based network.

It’s ideal if you are with:

  • A Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with designing and developing enterprise applications using Java.
  • A self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns.
  • Strong proficiency in JVM-based languages, including Java and Scala.
  • Willingness to work with the functional programming language Scala.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Very good understanding of software engineering best practices.
  • Proficient experience in CICD, code reviews, design reviews, code coverage, unit testing, and test automation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A team worker with an eagerness to learn new things.
  • Good understanding of agile software development practices.
  • High attention to detail, self- organized, and a systematic approach to work.
  • Knowledge of microservices, functional programming, and Docker would be an added advantage.
  • A self-motivated, results-driven, and a technology enthusiast.

It’s ideal if your expertise is to:

  • Design and develop new services and infrastructure and maintain our existing flagship cloud service product, Pagero Online, which handles millions of transactions annually.
  • Play a central role in developing our system-level design, write appropriate automated tests for everything you build, and apply knowledge sharing for what you have created.
  • Be curious and passionate about learning new trends and techniques and how they can help us increase the value of our products to our customers.
  • Build strong relationships with the product management and development team.
  • Develop functionality based on directions and requirement specifications.
  • Ensure testable code is produced and practice test-driven development.
  • Take overall responsibility and ownership of the deliverables of the module.
