Senior Software Engineer

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for Ruby on Rails Engineers with 5+ years of experience in the Software Development Industry to join our expanding Global Product Development Team based in London and Colombo. You will be part of a team solving challenges in developing the World’s First Online Tutoring Platform which manages Schools, Pupils, and Tutors globally.

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. A broad understanding and experience in working with AWS serverless infrastructure in production, particularly Amazon API Gateway and AWS Step Functions, including AWS Lambda.
2. Experience in working with stateless Rails (micro)services in production, including monitoring and maintaining them in a production environment.
3. Experience and ability to design and built usable, well-structured REST APIs.
4. Experience in scalable distributed architecture using micro-services and Kubernetes.
5. Exposure to infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform)
6. In addition to the above requirements hands-on experience in evaluating code quality, performance and security. Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills, a fair understanding of design patterns and concepts of modular applications will be useful. Prior experience in working in a Global cross-functional team will be an added advantage.
