Senior Software Engineer – Python + DevOps

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience as a DevOps or DevOps related roles
• 3+ years’ experience in Python and related Technologies like Django
• Deep understanding of technologies and architecture for a scalable and highly available set-up
• Capacity management of the infrastructure and microservices monitoring set
• Hands-on experience of Ruby or Python, SQL Kubernetes, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker, GitLab as part of the CI/CD pipeline, SOAP, REST
• Strong foundation in Data Structures/ Algorithms
• Hands-on experience of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Node exporter, Alert Manager and Grafana
• Hands-on experience in Swagger, Kafka and ELK stack
• Hands-on experience in NoSQL like MongoDB, Cassandra or Jackrabbit
• Hands-on experience of Couchbase and Postgres would be an added advantage
• Experience working in web applications
• Willingness to learn on the job and a curiosity for the unknown
• Experience troubleshooting and deploying Java applications in a Microservices architecture
• Understand secure development and deployment concepts, patching and fixing vulnerabilities

Responsibilities

• Manage/ Implement Jenkins workflows and integrations in Kubernetes on a cloud environment
• Manage /Implement Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment of all packages to multiple environments
• Provide technical consultancy to both Development and Support teams for issues and new builds on pre-live and production environments
• Write high quality code to achieve business goals.
• Work with various cross-functional teams to understand their needs, offering them solutions and setting and managing their expectations
• Perform root cause analysis for environment and functional errors
• Apply Git branching, tagging and change delivery best practices
• Capacity management of the infrastructure and microservices monitoring setup
