What is Python Used For?

Calcey Technologies is one of Sri Lanka’s leading software product engineering firms. For two decades, we have delivered bespoke digital products for startups, SMEs, and global corporations including PayPal, Stanford University, and the Wikimedia Foundation. Calcey’s Colombo office requires Senior Software Engineers & Software Engineers – Python.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role that includes planning, designing, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, and team leadership. In addition, the position will require interfacing with other internal and external technology stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

High proficiency & hands-on experience in Django and Django REST framework or Flask
Familiarity with any of the databases – MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elastic
Experience in working with Celery
Experience in S3, AWS
Knowledge and experience in Architectural and Design Patterns
Thorough in Object Oriented Design
Willingness to learn different programming paradigms, languages and technologies is a requirement
Excellent oral and written communication skills
