There is an exciting opportunity within the newly established Sri Lankan support channel of Cova Bay. Cova Bay is a joint venture between Cedar Bay an IFS Gold Partner and Covalent Systems an IFS Silver partner. The position is for an IFS Senior Technical Support Consultant to join the Sri Lankan team. The Support team underpin both businesses and their customer bases, predominately consulting within the reoccurring revenue stream of both companies; as well as some ad-hoc services work. The opening is for an office based role within the Colombo area and would ideally fit someone with a strong and proven technical understanding of IFS Applications.

Opportunity Remuneration Scheme:

Base Salary will be Pegged to GBP

The role would require you to be able to work shift patterns to accommodate the 24/7 nature of the service we provide to our customers

Duties and Responsibilities:

To work as part of the newly formed offshore team and to work closely with the existing Support teams to form a global support department for both companies. The successful candidate would work directly with both Cedar Bay and Covalent Systems customer bases, as well as with our internal customers, supporting area such as:

• IFS Technical Support for IFS Applications
• CRIMs Consultancy Services
• Cedar Bay Data Capture Support and Covalent Integration Hub & Mobile Apps
• IFS Interface Support
• IFS Cloning
• IFS Patching
• Internal Support

Support members will work directly with our customers via IFS Case Tracking, as well as being open and approachable via telephone, Teams video calls and any other method that gives our customers communication transparency with us.

What We are Looking for:

The IFS Senior Technical Support Consultant will be ideally educated to a degree level and have either obtained or willing to obtain formal IFS certification(s). In addition, a minimum of 8 years’ experience is required working with IFS Applications. This experience can be having worked for IFS directly, via another third-party IFS partner or a customer. The role within this team requires a large and varied skill set, which include but not limited to:

Required Skills

• Experience working with IFS Applications versions 7/8/9/10/Cloud
• Crystal/quick reports writing
• Custom objects and IFS extensibility (Fields, menus, events, logical units etc…)
• Lobbies and lobby elements
• PL/SQL API development
• Roles and security / profiles and user management
• Data Migration (FNDMIG or Smart Data)

Desirable (But not essential) Skills

• Experience working with IFS Cloud
• Database cloning
• Extended server administration
• IFS release management and deployment
• Print agent / crystal web services installation
• IFS report designer skills
• Web language abilities in bootstrap/Jquery/HTML/JAVA

• Ability to articulate complex information in friendly toned responses
• Proven track record in issue resolution
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to design and deliver complex solutions from functional requirements
• Having commercial awareness when dealing with clients
• Work independently but also as a team player, willing to learn about peers and make meaningful connections
• Must be able to commute to Colombo
• An openness to the possibility of travel, within the country of Sri Lanka or even to other countries such as the UK
