Dialog is looking for a Specialist -Transmission Network Development and Operations, who will be accountable and responsible for development, operations, and maintenance of Microwave, DWDM and SDH transmission network.

You have to Lead to handle and solve all types of Alarms, faults, performance related issues on systems to maintain the Transmission Network availability while achieving the defined KPIs to ensure exceptional customer experience in terms of network quality. Accountable to Review network performance parameters/logs and other related data to identify the issues, improvement opportunities and implement required solutions and process. Responsible for development, provisioning, and acceptance of new network elements in line with defined standards. Training the resources to develop required competencies for fault isolation, rectification, monitoring and maintaining network elements. Identify Digitization and automation requirements in the process and initiate, lead and coordination to implement those. Required to provide expert level technical support and full time on call support for transmission network operations

• Troubleshoot issues escalated up to level 2 and provide a solution or escalate up to the next levels to ensure the incident is resolved within the SLA
• Analyse trends in service incidents to identify common network & service-related problems and take necessary actions to resolve.
• Operationalise procedures to simplify and digitize process aligning with industry best practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Assess the network impact based on nature of the fault, alarms from EMS and traffic pattern to recognize affected services
• Specify pertinent logs and alarms to be collected to isolate the network fault to restore service with minimum duration
• Operationalize the formulated solution to neutralize the service impact
• Operationalize the designed permanent fix for the issue based on root cause analysis to prevent recurrences of similar issues
• Specify procedures to verify the technical compliance of proposed solutions to ensure proper execution of technical compliance assessment.
• Lead the process of solution implementation with all technical domains to ensure new systems and platforms are properly integrated with monitoring systems/processes   and maintenance procedures.
• Prepare incident report ensuring all aspects are covered and precise image of the incident is clearly represented.
• Specify appropriate QoS and performance parameters to develop early fault detection mechanisms
• Support lead engineer to assess the requirements and service proposals to identify the feasibility of catering the requirement using existing systems/nodes/platforms to fulfil new feature or service requirement with optimum cost
• Prototype the recommended configuration or system changes to implement new feature or service
• Specify test scenarios to verify proper implementation of the network alteration to ensure expected improvement is achieved and service is continued without any performance degradation.
• Develop network configuration templates aligned with conventions to ensure scalable, agile, easy to manage and optimum network.
• Maintain training documents for existing technologies, systems, products, services and applications for the reference of technical staff to build a competent technical team
• Update knowledge repository for the reference of operational and monitoring staff to ensure reduce problem resolution time and improve fault detection time
• Review relevant references and standards to identify appropriate feature and standard compliance of proposed service or feature
• Ensure all systems are compliance with cyber security guidelines and take necessary corrective and preventive measures by coordinating with relevant stake holders
• Operationalise contingency planning based on the given guidelines to minimise impact on customers

• BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications degree with minimum 2 years of experience in telecommunication field. Experience in Microwave and DWDM network will be an added advantage.
