Sr Manager/Director – Quality Assurance (R&D, Aerospace & Defense)

Quality Assurance Leaders have deep knowledge on industry standard quality assurance processes and methodologies and work with all aspects of quality assurance throughout the entire software development process. They are responsible for ensuring that quality is considered early in the design process so that the product will be testable later.
The quality function at R&D is substantially different to the traditional testing practices in the rest of the industry. Testing is done by the developers throughout the lifecycle from unit testing to automation, NFR testing to manual testing. A Quality Engineer is shepherding the development team by becoming an advocate in coaching the developers, performing quality inspections and doing technical research for tools and processes. The Quality Assurance Leader has to have a technically hands on acumen in both Software Engineering, Whitebox testing practices and techniques with strong leadership skills. The candidate should possess
- Technical skills on Whitebox testing methods (desirable)
- UI automation test patterns.
- Quality review/audit practices and processes.
- Ability to lead both developers and Quality experts with “Lead by Example”. (Show how to do things so others do follow).
- Learnability : Should be able to learn, IFS practices, processes, Architecture and domain with minimum supervision.
- Agility: Should be able to employ the tools, experience and skills to the context.
- Change Management: Leader with “empathy” to understand different stakeholder interests and ability to devise win-win solutions with buy-in.

•University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in a field relevant for the functional area or responsibility.
•Good understanding of one or more of our target industries and domain product / technology offerings as well as the business application processes for our target customers.

•Experience of agile development methodology
