Inclusion Analytics Senior Software Engineer

If you are creative and motivated, and diversity and representation is important to you in media and entertainment, we want you on our development team!  Our team combines data from across Nielsen, including our industry-standard audience measurement and our industry-leading content metadata.  We enrich that data and produce a wealth of metrics and insights that our clients depend on to improve the quality and diversity of their content.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being a generalist and likes to work across areas of data engineering, application development, devops, and front-end engineering.  You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but we are looking for someone with the desire to learn and contribute across the stack! Our team is small, diverse, agile, and committed to shipping new capabilities aggressively.  We are highly collaborative and you will work directly with product owners, data engineers, UX engineers, and designers to create the best possible product.

Your Profile
If you’re missing a couple of the points below we still want you to apply. If you have strong fundamentals the rest can be picked up in a short period of time. Being able to express your logic in a programming language and the ability to learn new things quickly and apply them are fundamental.

• Experience in Python and SQL
• Experience in an agile development environment (making small iterative improvements on a regular cycle)
• Experience with data warehouses, relational databases, and Object Relational Mapping tools
• Committed to producing high quality code
• Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (microservices, multi-tier architectures, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Familiarity with containers and container orchestration, especially Docker and Kubernetes
• You communicate clearly and work independently
• Familiarity with Git
• Familiarity with CI tooling (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
