The focus of the teaching is on teaching the use of digital tools in the planning, construction and operation of infrastructure structures with a focus on tunneling. In addition, a special interdisciplinary training focus in the field of digitization is to be developed for the bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Montan University.

Experience in the acquisition, implementation and management of funded research projects with industrial and scientific cooperation partners, as well as the presentation of the ability to cooperate with industry and a strong interdisciplinary network with colleagues from different disciplines are desirable.

Employment requirements are a domestic or equivalent foreign university education that is appropriate for the job, a relevant doctorate (e.g. civil engineering, architecture, geoinformation, computer science) an excellent qualification for the subject to be filled (habilitation or equivalent qualification), pedagogical and university didactic aptitude as well as very good knowledge the German and English language.

The classification is based on the collective agreement for universities in employment group A 1. In this classification, the collective agreement monthly wage for full-time employment is € 5,321.70 gross (excluding 13th and 14th special payments). Any higher remuneration can be made the subject of the appointment negotiations with the appropriate qualifications.
