DevOps Engineer

Job Role:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of software applications.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef to provision and configure cloud resources.
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimize code deployment and release management processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for scalable and resilient application deployment.
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to detect and respond to infrastructure and application issues.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and implement security controls for infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance our DevOps practices and infrastructure.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, system administration, or DevOps roles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and cloud services such as EC2, S3, Azure DevOps, or Google Cloud Build.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
