Job Description

As a Jira DevOps engineer you will:

  • Manage the overall Jira DevOps
  • Create/maintain Confluence permissions and spaces
  • Jira/JSM permission schemes, projects, workflows, screen schemes, custom fields, and notification schemes
  • Onboard new teams to JIRA/JSM and help existing teams optimize and customize their workflows
  • Analyze requests for new JIRA/JSM functionality, implement new features, and work on support requests whilst able to understand the impact of the changes on other users
  • Debug situations through understanding application logs, API documentation, and Atlassian documentation
  • Create, update, and maintain reference documentation on Atlassian products
  • Research and use plugins to provide additional functionality to users

Job requirements

  • Atlassian Certified Expert
  • 6+ years of experience in Production Support
  • 4+ years of experience managing Atlassian stack
  • Proven experience in leading Jira Server to Jira Cloud/Data Center
  • Provide application support for Atlassian Applications – Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo
  • Knowledge of Linux, OS & Networking, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Databases (Mysql, Postgres)
  • Experience with migration from Server and Cloud and upgrading the Atlassian suite of products
  • Experience in scripting (like Python, Bash) and ability to automate the tasks with scripts
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Deep understanding of DevOps, including best practices & processes
  • Experience in technical support
  • Hands-on experience with programming in any modern language
  • Solid Computer Science fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of distributed computing principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university
  • Able to work within the GMT+8 time zone
