Senior Engineer, DevSecOps

Position Summary

The London Stock Exchange is seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer who can drive strategic change to improve software security. You will be encouraged to play a key role in evangelising the benefits of Application Security and contribute to the continuous improvement of the offerings and the team’s agenda towards ‘Shifting Left’.

Role Responsibilities

• Working with developer tooling, end-user engineering and platform teams to uplift security posture
• Exposure and knowledge of supply chain security in the SDLC
• Exposure to applications security tooling: Static Analysis (SAST), Software Composition nalysis (SCA)
• Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures for dealing with large quantities of data (e.g., building data-intensive systems)
• Experience providing feedback to engineering teams via code review
• Exposure to a wide range of languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies
• Exposure to modern development tooling: Github, Gitlab, Jenkins or Bitbucket

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar technical field
• 5+ years of proven experience
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Previous consulting experience working closely with engineers
• Previous experience with cross-team collaboration
• Experience writing standards, policy documentation or policy as code
• Passionate about technology and willingness to adapt to new tools and technologies
• Fast learner and ability to solve problems pragmatically
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
