Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking to hire a “Senior Java Software Engineer” for one of our client companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience developing production enterprise applications and in managing teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent understanding and experience in Java development.
• Experience in Spring Boot and API development practices.
• Excellent understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with React, and Redux development standards.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies like Amazon Web Service (AWS), Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience in SQL, and RDBMS technologies.
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD builds/deploy pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to guide/mentor junior developers while working with leads on designing applications.
• Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment.
• Experience in writing test-driven code for both server and client applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the logical and physical development of applications.
• Be responsible for maintaining the health of the production system and attend to any production incidents providing quick fixes/workarounds.
• Adhering to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of solutions.
• Ensuring high code quality by following software engineering best practices.
• Working collaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment.
• Identify system vulnerabilities and assist prioritize them for the team.
• Adhering to DevOps principles and being involved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle.
