Software Engineer – Frontend
Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of LESS and SASS/SCSS
- An individual who appreciates the importance of clear communication, especially when working with a remote team
- Attention to detail
- An individual who is familiar with the complexities of web development, e.g. mobile responsiveness, browser compatibility
- Have a great sense of design and passion to build software that delights users
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven work experience in Frontend development for 2-3 years (React, Typescript, JS/ES6, CSS, HTML)
- Experience with React or a similar framework for 2+ years
- Experience with unit/integration testing
- Experience with gitlab/bitbucket/Jira
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies, tools effectively
