The role

• Lead a “squad” of 2 to 3 full-stack engineering teams, each such team consisting of about 4 engineers.
• Work closely with a product manager and designer to execute a squad’s product roadmap.
• Be accountable for the timely delivery, technical excellence and functional quality of product development.
• Manage and mentor the team.
• Work closely with the CTO, VP Eng and other engineering managers in driving engineering process and architecture.

What we’re looking for

• You come from a deep technical background, with 9+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 of those years in hands-on development, and at least 4 years in a team leadership role.
• You still retain your software engineering fundamentals from your developer days (algorithms and data structures, networking, database theory, operating systems) and are able to review code and designs when necessary.
• You are a very good communicator, planner and people manager.
