Job Description

DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (SILUETA -BIYAGAMA)

We are on the look out for a dynamic and an energetic individual to join the Silueta Marketing  team as a Deputy General Manager – Business Development (DGM Work Level). This role requires to   maximize sales opportunities through liaising with retailers, in line with agreed customer and pricing strategy and to develop the product portfolio while providing guidance, assistance & motivation to the team to ensure business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify current / future market trends, evaluate the competitiveness of existing product portfolio and expand the market share to ensure continuous fulfillment of business development objectives & plant capacity
  • Leading business scoping activities in order to effectively plan and organise the available resources to successfully execute and bring innovative products to the development stage
  • Engage in business strategy sessions with the CEO in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of the Silo, as well as formulate longterm business plans
  • Contribute to the development of the overall strategy of the business division, provide direction for future plans, oversee the implementation to ensure continued success of the business whilst, facilitating the achievement of overall objectives
  • Develop & maintain strong & effective relationships with customers whilst, creating a value stream connect across the organization thereby, enabling the delivery of customer requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee the merchandising process with all relevant stakeholders from sample development to the delivery of finished goods in order to ensure all development related issues are addressed in an effective and timely manner
  • Maintain effective working relationships and on-going communication with customers and business units and provide information on order & capacity status for sound decision making
  • Develop & lead the team to meet current and future business needs, monitor the teams’ performance, provide development plans to enhance the overall value

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters// Bachelors Degree in  Finance / Management/ Marketing  from a recognized  university  + 8-10 Years of relevant Work Experience.
